How to arrive

"Il Cerro" can be found in Venola di Marzabotto, about 30 km southwest of Bologna, in the Reno River valley, that connects Bologna to Tuscany. The location offers tranquillity and contact with nature, and thanks to its good position, is ideal for excursions in Emilia Romagna and Tuscany by car or by train.

By car:

Take Highway A1 (Milan-Florence) towards Florence. Exit at Sasso Marconi, about 20 km south of Bologna. At the exit toll, turn right towards Sasso Marconi passing over the River Reno bridge. After the bridge, at the intersection of SS64 "Porrettana", turn left towards Porretta and follow it for about 8 km until the town of Marzabotto. Pass through the town completely. After the town, you will see the excavations of the Etruscan necropolis on your right. Pass under the wooden bridge.

Take the first street on your right ("Via Venola") and after 5 km of curves and after having passed a church on your right, you will find "Il Cerro" on your left.

By train:

From Bologna Train Station, you can reach Marzabotto in 25-30 minutes with the local train to Porretta, that departs about every hour. For detailed information, you can consult the Internet site www.fs-online.it. From the station at Marzabotto, you can take a taxi ("Il Cerro" is about 6 km away) or, upon request, we can come and pick you up.

By plane:

The Bologna Airport is well-connected to diverse international destinations. From the airport, you can rent a car (see above for the described route) or travel to the Bologna Train Station with a special direct bus (BLQ) and from there take the local train to Porretta (see above for the described route).
